Well, some just hitched about a ten mile ride with us yesterday....they did not all perish on the windshield. SPLAT will be another day for them. :D

They won't harm your windshield.

Spray the front bumper, grill, lights, etc. with Pam and they will wash right off.

Gives new meaning to lubing the car :eek: ;-)

Yes, got pix! I was sleep walking at 6:30 am on the beach at sunrise and Mr. mango has a grayt pic of that. :lol: I'll post on separate thread tomorrow.

Holy cow! I think some people put a coat of wax on the front of their car and leave it on until the season is over. I have always felt that some chemist somewhere could figure out what it is in lovebug guts that is so darn sticky-they could make the world's greatest glue out of that stuff.:lol:

Talk about ruining the paint job. If not rubbed off, wax will bake onto the car. However, waxing your car regularly will help keep the paint looking good. I should note that no wax job is going to prevent bugs from splattering your car if you are going over 60mph.;-)

RO, as I was saying on the phone, the Love Bugs, Plecia nearctica, are still around. My guess it that they are not as bad in South Walton as they are on the highways coming down.
