Adoption is a wonderful thing, but--if it is true that the father misunderstood the process and never intended for Madonna to adopt his son--it's a sad story.

Nothing like a little 3rd world country baby adoption, followed by controversy (gee what a surprise) followed by an appearance on Oprah to thrust oneself back in the spotlight.

What has Madge done that has NOT been about generating publicity? That is how she makes money- she is not a dim bulb.

I do hope the child joins madonnas family and has a wonderful life!!!

madonna's accomplished much, and done a lot her life, but lying or doing anything mean isn't her thing. especially when it concerns a child.

I don't know much about Madonna's adoption or reasons, and frankly don't care, but I have to agree that someone couldn't possibly be looking for publicity especially if they have their opwn biological children
. Although it may be easier for celebrities, international adoption is a long arduous process in most countries. It's a very emotional process. People tell parents who adopt, oh, at least you don't have to have labor. Believe me, I know people who have adopted, and the process was one big labor pain of love.
