Sandcastle Escapes is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Technician. Must have prior experience performing general maintenance activities, providing high levels of customer service and be able to take emergency service calls after hours when on call.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technicians primary responsibility is to respond to guest service requests and solve a broad range of residential maintenance problems for owners and guests of vacation rental properties. A secondary responsibility to inspect and rectify maintenance problems on vacation rental homes on turnover days which typically are on Saturdays and Sundays.
Essential Duties
Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair for vacation rental properties, as directed, involving some of the following on a daily basis:
o Electrical and plumbing
o A/C and heating systems
o Televisions and Modems/Routers
o Interior/exterior lights
o Fireplaces, ceiling fans
o Shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors
o Door locks and windows
o Ceiling leaks
o Oversight of sub-contractors when required
Knowledge/Experience Required of the Position
o High level of proficiency in customer service and guest relations
o Ability to plan and work in a fast paced and challenging environment
o Positive attitude
Education, Experience and Background Required
o experience in property maintenance preferred
o High School Diploma required, College preferred
o Valid driver’s license in state of Florida.
Salary and Benefits
· Full time position – 40 hours + per week
· Hourly wage based on experience; seasonal overtime opportunities
