OOoooo! I like his orange shoes!! I really did pull for the Gators throughout the tourney. All SEC teams in fact. Even LSwho. The SEC had a great year. South Carolina winning the NIT and now UF! Who needs football?

What was I thinking...I do!
I like those kicks too. Where does one find them? :dunno: Get on it Whitey.

GO GATORS!!

We just got back from the Final Four last night and obviously we had a wonderful time. We're still in shock and awe about the easy victories, and Indianapolis was an incredibly funn town to see a sporting event. I was surprised! Everyone was so hospitable and all the fans, no matter what team they were rooting for, seemed to have a great time. Mermaid's town made a big impression -- hubby and I would both love to go back.

And the weather was wild on Sunday night! Shortly after the outdoor concert with John Mellencamp I heard tornado sirens for the first time. For Floridians it was an exciting show but obviously a lot of people lost their lives and homes in those scary Midwest storms. :sosad:

Saw quite a few sports celebrities, including Peyton Manning, who is much cuter in person than I expected. We got a picture with Chris Doering, who Gators fans will remember was the WR that helped UF win the national title in '96. Sunday night we also sat next to Tito Horford, father of UF player Al Horford. He was very friendly and was having so much fun. Now that I think about it I should have asked him if he thought his son was going to go pro or not.

We came home feeling so blessed -- it was an incredible experience and one we will never forget.

TFT you make me sick! LOL. I am so envious.

Sister tried to talk us into flying to Indy Monday. We could get flights to Indy Monday afternoon, but we couldn't get back Monday night/early Tuesday AM. We didn't want to leave our dog home alone that long, and we don't like to board her.

Glad you had a great experience! Go Gators!

We flew into Louisville and drove the 2 hours instead of going into Indy. It was too expensive and the available flights weren't that great. The drive to Louisville was easy -- not a big deal.

I really can't get over the wonderful Midwestern hospitality. And all the fans I saw were enthusiastic but well-behaved, sort of unusual for the Gators (and LSU fans too). :rotfl:  What was great was that we were cheering not just for a Gators team but for a classy, likable coach and a group of genuinely cool kids. What a gift. You just don't see it that often, even in the college game.

A bit late here, but hats off to Florida :clap_1: . Thanks for making UCLA look as bad as they made my TIGERS look. OK, enough of this, time to start hatin' on Gator pigskin...TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! :rotfl:

That's great. I'm glad our fans didn't embarrass The Gator Nation. As you implied, you know how redneck (or should I say "orangeneck"?) our fans can be.
