I'm currently living in DC but looking to relocate to the South Walton area. I have an undergrad degree in marketing and an MBA from Tulane in marketing. My background primarily includes publishing and direct mail. Any idea of where to start looking for jobs? Job boards? Organizations? There doesn't seem to be one good place to look. Thanks!

Welcome! There are not many jobs here, especially this time of year. The higher level marketing jobs are few and far between and are usually given to someone known who has been here awhile, and/or have experience.

There are some entry-level jobs with realtors, rental agents, resorts, etc. They ramp up after the first of the year and really get to working in the spring. You might find yourself working reservations at first, or as a realtor's assistant. But it's hard to support yourself on an entry level job here. It helps to know someone or find a roommate, and have 6 month's to a year's living expenses in the bank.

Even entry level jobs are going to be challenging to find from afar. This forum is a good place to keep an eye on. And our classifieds:

There is an opening with Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Go to Sandestin.com and under careers click on Sandestin Openings. You have to apply online but human resource director is Neb Webster
