So sad - sorry for her. I would have to go pay a visit to each at their home.

For 5th grade it doesn't surprise me. Parents have been to open house before school started & probably the first day of school and might feel like they have met the teacher already.

There is always more involvement in lower grades.

Thursday night is full of practices for sports or games so that is another thing that will keep parents away.

This was the open house. My wife has been teaching for 34 years. She holds advanced degrees and is Nationally Board certified. Prioritizing education starts at home. Blaming teachers starts in Tallahassee.

10-4 I thought it may have been a local school. They just had an open house at ECMS, from what I saw,there seemed to be a decent turn out.

I remember that open house, those parents were going with such force the oncoming traffic on 98 was no deterrent.
