Too funny. A sense of humor does make life easier! :D

Okay, now I have a question. I have read who y'all don't like...who do you think is the most unbiased TV political personality?
What a no brainer. There are none.

I agree that Anderson Cooper and Shepherd Smith do a pretty good job of keeping their opinions out of the news.

Other than that, Paula Abdul seems fair and (un)balanced. Maybe we should all drink whatever she's having while we watch the news.

Can't stand to watch Maddow. She is the Dems version of Coulter, just not at all hot; well maybe in a butch sort of way.
:rotfl:

I'd rather have butch "hot" than skinny bi-polar and neurotic, anyday.

Right here!
I guess everybody is going to have some sort of inherent bias or perspective. It's unavoidable. Plus the way the shows are presented has something to do with producers too, and in the case of Fox News the direction of the entire network. (Roger Ailes, journalist? please! at least the MSNBC prez has a typical TV news background, although they are increasingly the yin to Fox's yang).

Bottom line it's about flash and ratings, unless you're Charlie Rose in a darkened studio at 1 a.m.

I think CNN is trying to play to the middle in general, which is good. What's her name claims to have no bias and no bull but I find her simply annoying.

amen.

I miss Peter Jennings. :sosad: Brian Williams is pretty good, and I don't really have anything against Couric, though I don't watch network evening news at all.

I miss Aaron Brown and News Night.

I like Aaron Brown a lot; watched a really good piece he did about Iraqi refugees in Syria recently. You can see him on PBS's Wide Angle.

I miss Tim Russert. He would ask a question, the politician would sidestep it, so he would ask it again. He wouldn't let them get away with just reciting their talking points.

You know, it's easier to watch Ann Coulter if you imagine that she is a drag queen who is engaged in performance art and that the entire act is a commentary on quasi-political celebrities who just spout inflammatory rhetoric without having to actually participate in our democracy. Then he/she seems brilliant.
