Not sure, but when i was about 14, my little sis and i flew out to Houston to visit my big sis and "men at work" were really big there. We had never heard of them. About a year later, the music migrated east and finally made it to the airwaves in small town Georgia. :roll:

I don't hear any similarity, but then I'm not an Estate Attorney with spare time either.

I think the part that goes "merry, merry king of the bush is he" resembles the passage played by that wind instrument in the Down under intro. It sound like more of a tribute. I remember this song from fourth grade music class. I think I played the triangle or something, or maybe knocked a couple of wood blocks together.

I've always thought the Men at Work song sounded similar to the Kookaburra song.
Figured it was a sly musical allusion.
