Glad he made it home safely. Have lost of fun spoiling him. My girls arrive on Tuesday. My youngest is a quite messy as is her roommate. They have been dubbed "the worst room in the dorm". Messy not dirty. They use dryer sheets over the air conditioning vent. Send the youngest home with a large bosx of his favorite scent. Cheap and effective. Note....I am not a messy person. I chose not to spend all our teenage years arguing over a clean room. Just another parenting glitch.

Wise mom, you are! HMM and I had a good laugh about MS, who we think of as messy, complaining about a messy roommate! Thanks for the dryer sheet tip....kills two birds with one stone!!! Man, after saying that forever, when you write it, it looks horrible and cruel! I vow not to say that again! Sorry birdies!!!

Funny, Funny! That was the best advice I was given. . . "pick your battles" you can't win them all. Winning the war is all that really matters.

Well my child knows she is messy and I knew she had the right roommate when on move in day the comment was made " This is the last time you will see my bed made" by her roommate. I doubt any other students could live with them.

RM is a first class slob (even his cute mom will tell you that!) and MS (male spawn) says his feet stink so bad that he has to go to the market next door and purchase AIR FRESHENERS! He says he has bought "26 or so" and they are all over the room!!!! Not where I thought our $$$ would be going....I will send him back with some spray freshener as a gift!

This sounds serious--I think this calls for Glade Plug-Ins.
MS can even get the nightlight version if he needs to. ;-)

SS, you will be the coolest...most kids will get ipods, sidekicks etc..for C'mas... but may I suggest Febreeze Scent Stories! He will be the envy of all his friends. LOL

Oh yeah...MS will love me for sure...this is right up there with socks and underwear, which BTW, I give him every year just to mess with him! Love the nightlight for those dark nights when you miss your MOMMY!

Thanks for asking...YES...although he is more of an Alley cat sometimes...a little ornery and stubborn! He had many funny stories for us on the way home. The best is about his roommate, who is a long time friend and a freshman. I wish everyone could have been here to see the reunion of MS and Molly...she was all over him and wouldn't leave his side all night! She sat next to him and nibbled him!!!! Two of my chillrens were very very happy last night!
