After winning Maine, Mitt has 92 delegates to McCain's 97. Neither will be able to get enough delegates to get the nomination on Super Tuesday. Looks like states such as Indiana that don't vote until the Spring will actually play a part in this election and it will go all the way to the convention. Should be interesting!

Maybe voters will take any Republican they can get over what a Democrat would do to the economy?
if we are going to give presidents credit for the economy then why fear a democrat look at what we have now.or are republicans no longer claiming w as one of their own?

Simple--TAXES. Hillary and Obama have a whole slew of entitlements that they want to enact. The money for the new programs will come from our pockets.

Republicans (meaning Mitt Romney) don't want to raise taxes and want to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, and have proposed tax cuts for businesses and senior citizens. John McCain favors an environmental tax on energy and has a record of being against tax cuts, although he says he now favors them.

Pardon me CCK, but Mitt Romney obviously with his income wants to keep the tax cuts permanent. The tax cuts benefit the wealthy the most. They've seen an almost 20% drop whereas the middle income families have seen a 2.9% drop.

I am sick to death of this class warfare rhetoric. I don't have time to get into now. However, Romney should not be condemned for his wealth. He has been fortunate in life, but he has also worked very hard in life to EARN what he has. He should be commended for what he has done and he stands as an example to all that the American Dream is still possible.

CCK, I didn't have any knowledge of Mitt's economic plan. However as of January 18th update right on his web site, he has a plan for reducing taxes for incomes below $200K, reducing corporate taxes, eliminating capital gains and dividends taxes for under $200K in income. That's a big variance from from Bush Tax plan.
Matter of fact, in our current economic condition, his plan makes sense and encourages investing and adds stimulus to our economy from both a individual standpoint and a corporate one. But he still wants to make the Bush Tax plan permanent of which I disagree with, and that fact is obscured by the rest of the plan. I have the utmost respect for anyone that works hard and succeeds in this country, but I have never been in favor of the Bush plan period. It hasn't accomplished what he said it would set out to do and only has left this country with huge budget deficit. Romney's plan is smart for short term stimulus but he is proposing them to be permanent.
You have no idea which side of the fence I post from so how could I be accused of class war rhetoric? Tell me why the Bush Tax plan is worth renewing instead.
