I think he is referring to the corkscrew rabbit, not the other Rabbit which you will find in many people's nightstand.

I knew what you meant, but it really wouldn't be a sowal thread if it didn't find it's way into the gutter at some point. ;-)

I don't like the new synthetic corks either! They don't work w/ any of the non-standard corkscrews (friction issue) and they don't make good souvenirs.

Years of practice and hundreds of bottles have made me quite skilled w/ a waiter's corkscrew, but many older people have medical or strength issues that make the Rabbit etc. indespensable.

I've only had one bottle of moldy wine and it was one I bought at a discount store, so I am willing to play the odds in exchange for "real" corks I can add to my collection. ;-)
