Congrats!!!!!!!!!! I agree the the crate is a great thing. Lexie is still learning that everything is not a chew as well. A sharp no and taking it away seems to be working and crating her at night. Best of luck.

Yup. Crate crate crate.

And baby proof your house like you have a 6 foot tall toddler who likes to mouth anything in reach. I have heard and seen labs snatch things from the most amazing places and heights. A little vigilance in this area could save you thousands in vet bills.

Just like toddlers, it will be better in a couple of years.

My brother learned the hard way to make sure there is nothing near/on top of the crate the dog can chew either - he had the crate in the entry off the garage and the dog ate his wallet, ski goggles, and part of the rug!

A big ol' bone worked quite well for keeping him away from other non-chew items when he wasn't crated. Sometimes both dogs would be chewing on it at the same time.

HE ATE ONE OF MY KEENS THIS MORNING!! Now that is just bad manners. He was crated all night, went outside this morning, had breakfast and at some point between 6-8 he ate one pinata and one Keen.

Two Havianas $20
Keen sandals $80
Puppy shots and checkup $150

Three weeks of kisses from puppy happy to have a home...well, looks like $250 to me.:drink:
