I thought infrastructure was included in the first stimulus. At least he is giving lip service to paying for it this time.

I'm actually more interested in the $200B in incentives and tax relief for businesses.

A two year cash for clunkers for business expansion? Nice, if you're looking to do a little expansion work. I don't like the temporary nature of it though.

Bdarg and I were discussing the infrastructure funding yesterday. He made a good point- so many people are ready to keep building new stuff, but nobody is willing to pay to maintain what is already built- like our transportation infrastructure, which has fallen into a state below disrepair. Is it not important to maintain our roads and bridges?

We have plenty of money to maintain our roads and bridges, assuming we aren't spending it on other things.

If that is the case, then why have they not been maintained through the years? The general state of disrepair of our infrastructure did not happen overnight.
