We are contemplating a little recon trip today to Morrison Springs. We have never been, so I don't know the "lay of the land'- what to bring, what to do there, but most of all- is it too crowded on a Sunday to be enjoyable? We might just run up there, check it out, take a dip and come back.

Our house windows are fogged up from the humidity and heat and I am yearning for some cold water....

My family has gone several times this year - not on a Sunday though. We bring our kayak, masks, flippers. There is a great rope swing! We like to go during the week, leaving Pt. Washington around 8:30 or so. We pack a lunch and head home shortly after lunchtime. We have found it to not be as crowded and much more enjoyable on this timetable. My son would go everyday! My son and husband went a few days ago and there was a policeman checking to see if they had alcohol (son is 10 - so not a problem!) Truthfully, this is the reason we usually leave around lunchtime - seems like after that it can get a little rowdy. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks- I bet it will be a little crazy today but we are going to give it a try and get it all figured out to go back during the week.

Did it feel super cold or was it refreshing? I'm dying to go!

Ask Skunky. I was wishing I had the defib when he hit the water and I saw his face. As for me, my feet finally thawed about 2 am this morning.
