I think it's great to see people out enjoying the scenic roads and exploring our great communities - and BTW using vehicles that are much more fuel efficient than 98% of our vehicles and taking up far less parking - I just want them to be more considerate about excessive noise.

Not modifying mufflers to violate basic standards, not revving IN residential neighborhoods, right next to people out enjoying the open air, or after hours seems like very little to ask.

And I'm getting REALLY tired of the "they're arseholes, but they're putting money into the economy so you aren't allowed to complain" argument.

There seems to be a growing trend of arseholish behavior lately (the bikers are in no way the people that immediately come to mind and are not the target of this statement) and I want to nip it in the bud!

I agree that the NOISE from the motorcycle is the problem. I woke up at 7:30 am on Sunday morning to the roar. We could not even carry on a conversation while having lunch outdoors.

We welcome tourism and tourism dollars on 30A. The majority of owners/vacationers come to 30A for the peace and beauty it offers. We need to protect that for all who enjoy the area!

I must say that most of these bikes have NOT been modified to be louder than usual. Most people that I know that pay over $20-30K for a motorcycle are NOT going to void the warranties just to be annoying.

The noise from the motorcycles pales in comparison to all the beotchin we hear from some in this area when any form of change is proposed.

It is Monday morning and the peace and quiet, except for the birds and pounding surf, is deafening. It is sad that Thunder Beach is over. I hope they all had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our pristine area.
I have a saying on my license plate holder that says it all about noise and while it is not totally apropo, it does express my feelings about the bike riders and their freedom to ride. It says "Jet noise is the sound of freedom". How true.

I think TB brings in some of the most interesting peeps from all over. You have to admit, it doesn't get much better than these pix below - Dad, his daughter and beagle from Navarre.

You know this just makes me sick! I mean, I ride a bike (w/o loud pipes) but I enjoy it as it's my get away! I have seen that no matter what some people just like to *****! If it's not bikers, it's something else! Face it, you live in a place that others like to visit, look around you. It's why you are here. Stop the crying, and enjoy life! Never know you may start smiling!
