We've been waiting to see this too. We're also thinking that the son would enjoy it and relate to it, even tho it has an R rating (for mild profanity). But the storyline and music is supposed to be very poignant.

We've been waiting to see this too. We're also thinking that the son would enjoy it and relate to it, even tho it has an R rating (for mild profanity). But the storyline and music is supposed to be very poignant.

Johnrudy, it was even better than I was expecting, and that's saying a lot. I absolutely loved it. I can say for certain the only reason for the R is because of the F word, which doesn't even sound like our version when said with such a heavy Irish brouge. I think Colin would love it; it's really a musician's movie.

Johnrudy, it was even better than I was expecting, and that's saying a lot. I absolutely loved it. I can say for certain the only reason for the R is because of the F word, which doesn't even sound like our version when said with such a heavy Irish brouge. I think Colin would love it; it's really a musician's movie.

Can't wait! Mr. JR and I have only seen the Ebert and Roeper review and we both commented on how much Collin would probably love this. And we're not so worried about the F word.

The music actually predates the movie; most of the songs featured were released on CD last year. I've been listening to it for months and love it. It's called "The Swell Season." PM me if you want me to burn you a copy!
