Smokin' Aces is an absolute joke. I was really disappointed as I had high hopes. Epic movie is one of the worst 5 I've ever seen. I walked out halfway through it. Blood Diamond is a good one that is still in theatres. I doubt it will be out for much longer.

The Lake House: cute love story with Sandra Bullock (SP?) and Kneau Reeves.... Sweet and satisfying

Saw the Illusionist this weekend and it was grayt. Well cast, and good cinematography. :clap_1:

Now the Lake House............I watched that when MANgo was asleep (chik flik) and I didn't get it. How is it possible to 2 people to live in different timelines? :dunno:

I saw the Illusionist too this weekend and I was pretty disappointed. I LOVE  Edward Norton (one of my many shameless crushes) & I thought he was miscast for this. I don't think I'll ever like Edward in anything since I saw him in Rounders as a wild, smoking, gambling bad boy.

However, like you, I loved the cinematography.

I love the Sound of Music.
Tootsie you were right about Pirates of the Caribbean II (dead man's chest.)

I loved Johnny Depp. I swear he can do no wrong. However.

The beginning and the ending were okay, but the middle dra-a-ag-g-e-d.
Maybe it will be like the Back to the Future trilogy: I loved the first and third films, but really did not care much for the second.

Just read a cute story about Johnny Depp. This guy's cousin waited at some door for Depp to come out so she could get his autograph. Apparently the cousin is very petite and the crowd sort of jostled her to the back. Depp noticed this and motioned to her to wait. After he finished signing autographs, he went to the cousin asked her if she would like a photo of the two of them--which of course she did. She got an autograph as well as a nice photo of herself and Johnny.

Johnny... sigh... everyone had warned me about pirates II, had to see it anyway, they were right, you are right on target (talk about dragging seacreature asses for hours), but I still got to spend time with my Johnboy.

I tried to watch Lake House today, but no longer avail on PPV...

my aunt sent me all of "Lost" the first season in a DVD box set - caught the first episode today. this may be promising. anyone? I haven't seen a TV drama (except HBO shows) in several years. I'll give this one a try... no commercials!

Sorry, should have used my mad multi-quoting skills....

LOST!! Love the show. I hadn't watched a drama in years before this one either. Grey's and Lost are ones I don't miss. Lost starts back up next week it's been forever. Thank goodness we're going to get 16 episodes in a row now. Toots, you have some catch'in up to do!
