MSNBC replaces Keith Olbermann & Chris Matthews as Anchors

MSNBC is replacing Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as co-anchors of its political night coverage with David Gregory, and will use Olbermann and Matthews as commentators only. The change reflects tensions between the freewheeling, opinionated MSNBC and the impartial newsgatherers at NBC News.

I'm glad to see that NBC is finally trying to regain their objectivity and credibility with regards to political reporting. This is overdue.

Yay! It absolutely should be that way. On the "other" side, I sure wish Fox had done the same thing with the Hannity & Colmes time slot during the conventions. Fox analysts did just fine after the speeches, but I had a hard time with the commentator noise in that time slot during the convention coverage.

Olberman was terrible at the conventions. He needed to realize he was doing Obama a diservice by having an audible orgasm everytime a member of his favorite party gave a speech.

I love a good left wing commie-pinko comedian as much as anyone, but Olberman just isn't funny. His own show is much better with the female guest host. It ceased to be journalism long ago.

While I respect your opinion of David Gregory, I do not agree. He has a liberal bias and has been shown in the past to lack ojectivity when reporting the news.

I was reminded yesterday why I don't watch Fox- it makes me a nervous wreck. Will and I were in a doc office waiting room, and some guy named Cavuto was interviewing a former treasury secretary (whose name escapes me- but he was very polite and distinguished looking). Anyhoo, this Cavuto guy kept yelling at him and would not let the poor man finish a sentence. This was not an interview- this was inviting someone on your show, and then you thell THEM how it is. Awful- we both were sitting there shaking our heads.

Then, they showed a clip of Bill O'Reilly interviewing Obama. I won't waste my time watching the rest of that either- same style as Cavuto. Since when did interviewers become so aggressive? I don't want to know the views of the interviewers- I want the interviewees be given the time to answer the questions, instead of being rudely interrupted and demeaned by the host.
