This jsut about sums up my weekend. I bought tons of flowers to plant yesterday. Decided I should clean out the beds in the back before planting. It was about two hours in that I remembered I didn't clean out the beds last spring. I always leave the leaves until spring to serve as mulch during the winter. Two years...big mistake. 
Monkey grass took over. Neighbors asian jasmine vine took over. Virginia creeper took over. Leaves were wet and tons of them. Bamboo grew 6 inches while I was out there!!! I did see several tiny frogs..
No snakes, thank goodness. It was a jungle I tell ya! After the torrential rain yesterday and last night, it was a mud hole as well. I was covered--and so were my crocs!
Half the yard done, the worst half. I'll try to finish this week and finally plant all those flowers.

i hate leaving sowal.
I'd pay you money to come here and garden. I'm so sore this morning, I could barely climb the stairs. Ok....so I'm a little out of shape.
