Hmmm - I put my sentence together poorly. I meant get RealPlayer & use that. Maybe you can D/L music with WMP but I haven't looked into that. What kind of portable player you have?
 OK I'm a dweebe  Of course you can buy online music with WMP (I never looked at that tab until today). I'd still get RealPlayer as well (I'm not a big fan of MSN anything in the consumer area - they tend to over-complicate simple things.

I guess I went to the show thinking that it would highlight both acts, and it highlighted only John Hiatt. I like the NMA and JH, individually. Also, I think the sound was aweful. Perhaps too much asphalt. They played in a big parking lot in front of a big hotel, and had a crappy sound tech to boot!

Mike Gordon, of Phish, and the well-known singer songwriter, Leo Koetke, have an album out, entitled Clone (?). It is a great combination featuring both artists' songs. It is one of my favorites at the moment. I guess I was hoping that the NMA and JH would be as great working together, but I missed the funkyness of the NMA. It was like any band could have been playing for John. Not all was lost at the venue because I saw so many great performances, including a small town, unknown artist who has a couple of CDs, which you can sample online at www.PatrickFitzsimons.com
I highly recommend purchasing a CD. He has something unlike most artists today, and seems like a really cool guy too. RiverOtter, for some reason I think you will really enjoy his music.

A friend of mine works in a recording studio in Atlanta and is recording some new stuff with Trey Anastasio. He's having the time of his life. I've heard some of it and it is really neat stuff.

Definitely check out Patrick's music. It is worth twice the price because it is so different from most of today's artist. It costs nothing to listen to his songs on his site.

OK - Can't hold back anymore - two words - Tower Records - go to the store or go online. My husband works for Corporate and we need his job to help pay for the property in SoWal.

Thank you!!!!!

(Although maybe if he lost his job - we would move to SoWal sooner :clap_1: )

Now you are thinking straight. No one support Tower Records so that we can get Beachlover2 down here sooner. :rotfl:

Will do! The same guy also just recorded Springsteen's new album. He's really worked his way up.

I saw him play a one-man show, playing the harmonica, jazz guitar, and high hat simultaneously, while singing when not playing the blues harp. Incredibly talented, and his background is in percusion. :dunno: Awesome artist!

Pretty dang nimble with the guitar for a percussion guy! I'll have to tell my son (a dummer - his term not mine) - maybe he'll pick up my guitar and fiddle with it more often. :D

Tell your son to check out the bio on Patrick. Saying Patrick's background is in percussion is like saying the Statue of Liberty is just a statue.
