um, i believe only someone who watched the video would understand...

You talkin' to me?
I did watch the clip.
I am not talking about old folks who trot out to see the Who concerts, I am talking about the old folks in the YouTube clip.
Townshend sang, in My Generation, about how he hoped he'd die before he got old, and yet here he is still recording and touring.
That was my point, and, I believe, the point of the video.
Just because you're old you *don't* have to quit rockin.'

no, i'm pretty sure you watched it. i was confused about the other comment because it is daltry's my generation, and anyone who watched it...

"Pretty sure?" Huh?
Now *you're* confusing me.
Maybe I am reading too much into the video, maybe it was just for a lark and nothing more, but I thought the filmmakers were trying to make a point.
I thought the flipping the bird thing at the end was a bit silly, but the rest was fun. Yeah Townshend used to smash his guitar back in the beginning of his career. Oh, and Daltrey sang it, but Townshend wrote it.

The flip off was a little too predictable I thought too. And I KNEW they would smash their guitars at the end. That was the reason I waited and watched the conclusion. :rotfl:

(Some of us DID make reference that Roger was almost as old as these guys in the video! ;-))

It was good tho. (But unfortunately, they play WAY too much of The Who on our radios. They need a much needed rest, imo)

Sorry. I did another "drive-by" post. Always gets me in trouble. But the Roger Daltry groupies are more like in their 40's, not 80's. My sister who is in her early 40's had a Roger Daltry poster in her room. It stayed there until we moved Mom into a one-story house for her safety.

I was wondering when you'd notice John R was talking about you.

I resemble that remark. ;-)

And I don't think those ladies are groupies; I think the film is more like a metaphor rather than a reenactment.

I just think it's great that a bunch of seniors got a chance to get out of the house/home to go make a video. talk about a break in the routine. now, they've got something to brag about to their kids, and they're surely famous within their peer group.
