I personally like jessifunn's avatar. You have no idea how long it took a klutz like me to learn how to do what the Pope is doing.

I also am curious about Johnrudy's avatar. I've heard of pigs in s#i+, but not pigs in water.

First you need software that that does gif amimation. You take a gif, put it in a frame. Make several minor changes to the original gif in some image editing software, and put each one in a separate frame. Then voil? - you have an animated gif.

Or you can just use one you find on the 'Net. It's not like you're putting the image on some commercial website - it's just for personal use. So in my book, that's legal, even though technically it's not.

i thank you for the compliment ! now to this animation thingy - you pretty much lost me after software, i will let mr audie read this and he can figure it out. not that i would ever in a million years be able to do this, mind you !

the fellow who painted my dog is named mark durham - he does what he calls pop art (i like pup art!) and he does people in addition to pets. i saw a magazine article about him a couple of years ago and contacted him - the rest is history
