What a cutie! Love the name. Hope he is getting the potty training. Sometimes small breeds, have a problem, it's easier to clean up than teach them to go out. I once saw a Shih Tzu do weight pull. It was so funny, he was so serious about it. Since they are in the terrier group, we compete against them. He did pull 300lbs on wheels. My boy to the left pulled 3400, but great fun to watch the small breeds do big boy events.

Adorable!!!

Hi Mango,

How cute and puppy breath, is almost as sweet, as baby breath! I have an 11yr. old Yorkie, named Twinky. I've often said, "she's given me more joy, than either son, or any man"! OK, maybe that's a stretch, but, she has been a very loyal and loving, baby! My son had bought and given her to a girlfriend. She had difficulty with her schedule at school and I ended up with her. I can't tell you how much love and fun, she has given our family! When she was around Willie's age, she would run sideways! So, so cute! Over the years, when I was ever upset, she knew and would sometimes lick my tears, from my face!

I have a suggestion, for the potty training! Obviously, you need to take him out often, especially after meals. First thing when he gets up in the morning and before going to bed, is critical. Always, take him to the very same area of the yard, because he'll be attracted to his scent. And, EVERY time he goes out to do his business, say "BE QUICK"! I learned this 16 yrs. ago, in a dog obedience class. I remember thinking, "yeah right"! But, it works!

I know that you were given Willie, as a gift. I hope that anyone that is considering adding a furry family member, will save a life at their local shelter! I've rescued and found homes, for too many babies to mention and the reward, is amazing!:clap::clap:A lot of people are giving their pets up, due to the economy and other reasons! Shelters, are even having purebreds, turned in! For anyone that's considering, please go to petfinder.com. On that site, you can also search your own area shelters! Saving a life, would be a wonderful, experience!

Good luck!
Diane

Thanks y'all. I really do adore him. For a little dude, he is a boat load of funn.

Yes, I realize that there are many dogs that need homes, but so did Willie. He is also that much more special to me because the young lady who gave him to me is like the daughter I never had and spent much time with me in Idaho and is coming to New York to spend the Christmas with me. She also was in a coma from Lyme disease at one point, her organs starting failing and had her life saved by a special doctor. Her doctor also was open to an idea that I and myself have another insidious infection not recognized by many physicians who even treat Lyme disease, we proved it, and many more people are getting well much quicker, including myself, with a new treatment protocol he and I worked out through much research. So, everytime I look at Willie, I see renewed hope for many people where there was none before. He truly was the most special gifts of gifts and when we left Idaho, he hopped right in his carrier without so much as a peep in the car or on the airplane. The top photo is him in the Doctors Hospital/ Clinic in Idaho. Matter of fact, he slept through most of the flight on his back with his feet up in the air.

Oh, Mangy, he's so, so cute!

Hubby and I just love dogs. We saved the life of a dog last week who had gotten out of its fenced-in area and was running around on our street which has a fair amount of traffic at 50 mph and over (even though the speed limit is 40). The owners were so grateful. We did it because if that were to happen to our sweet Pepper, we would hope that someone would do the same for her. BTW get Willie a tag with your phone number on it ASAP. Also get him an RFID chip.

Now just go and give that sweet puppy some love and a hug from me!:D

Yes, he will get chipped eventually after his shots. Right now he doesn't go anywhere without me, but I know that could change. He also is on his lead a lot now because he has to learn how to stop chasing my cat.

He's being crate/housetrained. He is doing very well. Trust me, I do not want him doing the Osbourne thing in my house and I was shocked to see what a small dog could muster up. 300 lbs on wheels, eh? That must have been funny.:lol: Willie is already a Frisbee champ. I have this really soft padded Frisbee that he jumps up in the air and catches. Do they have competition for that?

.
aww .. I could do a tiny dog if it was that cute!

.

.
Does his feet smell like Fritos?.
Remember an old thread discussing puppy/dog paws smelling like Fritos?
Found it! ..:rotfl:

Since he is low to ground, his feet and belly get smelly. I have to wash his undercarriage frequently and yes, it does it have a fritos kind of smell.
