How are the gas prices where everyone lives? They say they have dropped around 15 cents. Gas at one of the many local Sam's Clubs that is located on Getwell Rd. here is $2.41 a gallon right now. I think other areas of Memphis the average gas price is around $2.56 a gallon throughout town, maybe a couple of cents less in other areas. We never refer to it as cheap anymore, just least expensive.

$2.87.9 in SoWal. I love the way the gas companies are able to advertise less and round up.

I know. I also saw it on the way to work down in a poorer area of town for $2.60 a gallon. It is always higher usually in that one area I go through every morning. This $2.59 9/10 stuff is ridiculous!

I couldn't believe that there was that much a price difference per gallon here in town between the Sam's at $2.41 and the $2.56 to $2.60 per gallon scattered elsewhere around town. Needless to say, my husband is nearby there at his work and is going to fill up today.

Funny how the very same numbers cause angst as they go up and relief as they come down. Also funny that they drop so much slower than they go up.
A good wind blowing in the Atlantic or someone can cough in the Middle East and we get prices shooting up .20 -.30 cents in an afternoon. They tend to drop pennies at a time and seldom go lower than they did before the last "crisis" spike.
