We washed all of our linens. The next time I grabbed a pillow case it was full of dryer sheets and newspaper. A few weeks later I noticed something white in the garden. It was all of our sheets.

The good news was that we had no weeds, our yard smelled Downy fresh, and the squirrels used bits of the fabric from the sheets to floss the cayenne from their teeth!

Nice! I love helpful little hints to make my life more organized. I bought a book once about organizing your home and life, but I lost it. Seriously.

I've heard that dryer sheets can also be used to clean dead lovebugs off your car.

My friend's bald husband taught me a great shaving trick, too: First, get a really good men's razor with the blades you can change out. Keep a cup (like a coffee cup) in the shower, and keep enough alcohol in it to keep the blade submerged. (You'll have to top it off every so often.) When you shower or bathe, don't use soap at all--just the alcohol-soaked razor. I was scared to death to try it the first time, but I've never had a hint of razor burn, and it's the closest shave I've ever had. The alcohol keeps the blades sharp and rust-free, and soap/shaving lotion/etc clogs up the blades, too.

I've heard that's the secret to keeping your razor blades long lasting (keeping them dry). There's actually a product called Razor Pro that has a fan that dries the razor after use.

But I like the alcohol idea.

I read that on this message board last year...tried it--damned it does work! <Lovebug season is coming so you'll be able to try it out>

Pledge works great, too. Plus it leaves the car smelling lemony fresh. That's an old airplane / motorcycle tip. You can use it on anything that's not glass. Will probably work on that, too, but it might be a little streaky...
