1 quart heavy cream (Ocheesee is the best because it comes from jersey cows)*
4 egg yolks ( Twin oaks farm fresh organic eggs are the best)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tablespoon vodka or rum ( this keeps the ice cream from getting hard after you freeze the leftovers. We're thinking we need to try Baily's in larger amount)
We make this in the kitchen-aid ice attachment, so easy. You can add stuff toward the end if the mix, If you do fruit blend it first so it's not chunky, We did cookie dough in June, made our own dough and used the mini chips so they wouldn't be hard chunks.
* Jersey cows produce richer milk and cream, notice the Blue Bell ice cream commercial features Jersey cows, whereas the California cows in commercial for California dairy products are the black and white Holsteins. Holsteins produce more milk but not as rich.
