Speaking of satellites, does anyone know, can guide me to, the technology on the web that allows people to see their house/neighborhood from the sky? I know or thought google has something like this, but cannot locate it.

Or maybe this is an internet legend.

Google maps has this, but the pictures are sometimes months old, so there probably won't be any post-Katrina images there.

I posted this as another thread. Go to this site to see your house. It takes a little time to upload, but you can zoom in on the photos to see your house. Note that the photos actually overlap and are not quite to scale on the first couple of pages when narrowing in on your focus.
