New sci-fi horror movie set in the panhandle

Thought this was interesting ...

Judging from a screencapture of the Annihilation TV spot, the movie appears to take place in Cape San Blas or possibly St. Vincent Island (judging from the epicenter) ... even though the book set the story in St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.

It also looks like everyone from Pensacola on eastward are in for some crazy trouble.

The movie has been getting good reviews, from what I've heard.

The trailers look pretty interesting. I did some searching, and initial test filming was done in St. Marks, FL; however, the foliage was so dense and grown in that they could not get any depth perspective so all principal filming appears to have been done in and around Holkham Beach in the UK. Looks like there were a lot of location shots, though. I did remember seeing the lighthouse.

Release date of 2/23/18.
