No more self serve gas stations

I'm searching for employment answers that don't hurt the local and broader economies. This program puts unemployed to work.

Make a more logical proposal that would put more people to work with less cost to our taxpayers so I can put this idea to rest.

What's your point? If the gov't paid people to do physical exercise at a health club or gym (verifying by things such measuring heart rates, checking cholesterol, body mass index, limberness, etc), as well as eating healthy foods and balanced meals, that would also put people to work, but the benefit would be greater than paying them to pump gas, because people would be healthier and have much fewer costly health problems.

Employing people to pump gas is ridiculous as it sounds.

Frederic Bastiat proposed a similar program for France in the 1800s to create jobs and eliminate the trade deficit. It involved filling the ships with goods and sending them out to sea, and then sinking them. This kept them from bringing back low cost imports, as well as put more people to work as the need for ships would sharply increase. Maybe this is something you could get behind.

I'm sorry I can't follow that. I appreciate the reference. I honestly never heard of Frederic Bastiat.

Maybe there is some value in the proposal as artificial reefs are created and citizenry is being employed.

I know we can all be real quick to blame our Representatives for employment stats. Is there a proposal that is more positive than bringing back the service station? That's probably not a business concept that is understood here, but there is such a thing.
