Although I don't always agree with President Obama's policies, I did love this commencement speech he gave last month at the University of Michigan and thought I would share it here.
He talks about how intense argument, that goes to far on a personal level, is nothing new in American politics. He says one newspaper wrote that "if Thomas Jefferson were elected, 'Murder, Robbery, Rape, Adultery and Incest will be openly taught and practiced.'"
He also spends a while talking about how we need government, but he really does not go overboard with his statements and talks about how too much government help can stifle competition and work ethic.
Overall, I just wanted to share it because I think it has some really good points about American Government and politics.
