So he's already completed 7% of the things he promised, is currently working on 14% of them, and has only broken 1%. Good to hear!

I think it's great they are tracking the promises and keeping us updated. This needs to happen for all politicians IMO!

Yep. Just over a 100 days and so far he has only been caught lying to us six times. That is pretty good for any politician, imho. I might even have to vote for him if he runs for reelection.

No, it doesn't mean he has been caught lying 6 times - they are being very strict and literal on his promises.

For example, one of his "broken" promises is that he has not specifically used the word genocide to describe events in Turkey between 1915 and 1923.

Instead, he issued a statement on the day of memorial for the event referring "to the terrible events of 1915" and saying that "he has consistently stated his views of what went on and that those views have not changed."

Later he explained that he did not use the word because he didn't want to disrupt the ongoing negotiations between Turkey and Armenia and distract the attention with his actions.

The site feels he has not fully met the terms of his promise so it will be ranked as "broken" until he uses the exact word.

I like that it's that specific BTW, but I don't know that I think something not yet done should be a "broken" promise.

"he's only been caught lying to us six times" ?
that's freakin hilarious and pathetic at the same time. I know how we all believe and expect politicians to lie, but come on.
I had a meeting this week with a local law enforcement officer that requires full disclosure at all times on my part. During the meeting It was implied that I was not "forthcoming on certain issues". I clearly explained the situation to them and stated my case clearly, got up and left the room, declaring my innocence. I received a phone call the next day apologizing to me for the implication. I said if you believe I am lying to you then our relationship has no merit and we can no longer work together.
Lying damages trust and relationships which can be nearly impossible to regain.
I can't imagine lying to this person 6 times, getting caught, and trying to maintain the working relationship that we have.

Looking pretty good to me!

I think so--but, it would be interesting to see how other administrations fared in the same time period, but I guess Politifact was not around.

I wouldn't call it lying. Depending upon the situation, particularly with the current political and economic climate, I would call it 'changing his mind for the betterment of the people.'
