Today at the funeral procession of #DeputyMyers where we were standing there wasn't a ton of people probably because it was raining so hard. But as I looked over my shoulder, standing at the corner of John Sims Parkway and HWY 285, was a loan airman. He had been driving when it came time for the police to block the road so the procession could pass. This young staff sergeant got out of the comfort of his own vehicle and stood there saluting every vehicle in the procession, for over 30 minutes, getting soaked. He epitomizes the appreciation our community has for this fallen deputy and for all the people who serve and keep us safe.
