Does anybody else use an AT&T dry line for internet? I think I'd rather write each of you a letter rather than call another technical supporter.

I gotta go to bed...

Get a wireless card for your PC or Notebook through your cell phone company. If your hard wired, are you on dial up or DSL? If you are way out in the woods (If I remember correctly you are) Get Direct Way Satellite Internet or IM me And we will chat. It is always fun talking with you anyway.

Do WHUT?

I think I'm gonna have to call the batturds. I have built-in wireless, and a wireless router. I got the internet modem (DSL) set up, but when I tried to connect the router it all went to pot.

I really do have to give up and go to bed, but I will have a funn conversation with you soon. You make me happy. Thanks anyhow.

p.s. I most certainly am not out in the woods!

A.) DSL sucks
B.) Broadband cards from cell companies suck
C.) Are you really gonna take tech advice from GRS?
D.) I'm pretty sure you have my phone number.
E.) What type of router are you using? Linksys usually plays very well with DSL, anything Mac unfortunately becomes a problem.

Where are the sowal techies

 :D

Sorry it just made me laugh that Kitty posted on this thread. When I saw her as the last poster on a thread titled, "Oh Mighty techies...hear my cry for help," I just had to check it out.

:rotfl:...you caught me once again sticking my big mouth where it does not belong. It has now been suggested I stay out of politics, the economy and anything tech related. Guess I'll have to stick to the Lounge and Football, my specialty. :D

My answer to everything techy is to check and see if it is plugged in. Unplug and replug. Then call Mr. Kitty.

I have a laptop question. A while back, Walker B threw something from across the room and it zeroed in on the keyboard of my laptop (Dell Inspiron 6400). The "V" button on the keyboard went flying and was broken so I can't put it back on.

Can you buy 1 button or do I have to replace the keyboard? Every time I google it, all that comes up are entire replacement keyboards.

They are surprisingly cheap, but I ain't about to try to break this thing open and put in a new keyboard.

Call Dell and they will send someone to you to fix it. They just fixed our monitor and keyboard on site at home. I hope it is still under warranty. They have a place in Panama City to. I'd help but I am working on some good code to throw SWGB's way! :dunno:
