Interesting, idlewind. I find some Dems are quite fickle with their party and knew quite a few who after 9.11.01 were glad the 2000 Election went to Bush instead of Gore.

Excellent news ... maybe Ohio is willing to repay us the nearly $1 trillion we've spent, at W's insistence, so far on Iraq, and thereby taking one issue off of Obama's plate.

If Iraq never happened, what would the deficit be and how much would 'W' have increased our debt?

I can't get too excited about a hypothetical election. Bush can't run, remember?

It reminds me of the old joke about the woman who goes to the butcher for ground beef:

Lady: "$3.98 a pound for ground round? That's ridiculous! The guy down the street has it for $2.49 a pound!"

Butcher: "Then why didn't you buy it down there?"

Lady: "He's out of ground round".

Butcher: "Well, when I'm out of ground round, I sell it for $2.29 a pound."

Right here!
Sign of the times, pretty much any republican is going to be more popular than a democrat in this election, even Bush.
