Okay I've gone back to making the Key Lime pies

Yep....from now on you will get an original Key Lime made by me....Kat. I gave Doug and the kitchen my recipe a while back, but not my touch! Haven't topped them in this picture....but even without topping they are yummy!

I also sell whole pies topped....so if you need one or more PM me. And I will need a 2 day notice in the summer. I also do a New Orleans Chocolate Praline Pie, Key Lime Mousse Pie, Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie with a praline layer on bottom. The Key Lime Pie at lunch and dinner at the cafe sells by the piece at $4.95 comes to (8 slices) a $40.00 pie, but by the whole it's only $25.00 and you can get 10 pieces out of it if you cut it yourself. I put lots of love into them.

Yes, they're the best. And I know from personal experience that Kat will throw a whole pie away if it's not perfect. She has very high standards for her pies and isn't really comfortable about anyone else making them. Anyone who hasn't tried D & K's just doesn't know what he's missing.

Last week I had a delightful lunch at D&K...and....it included THE AWESOME key lime pie!!! Took my sister in law there....it was her first D&K experience and she LOVED it and can't wait to go back!!

Happy to know we can order the whole pies Kathy!!

I would hate to see those less than perfect pies go to waste. I'm sure more than a few sowallians would volunteer to take them off your hands. I, for one, am willing to make the sacrifice.

we had a casual dinner at some friends tonight. She served frozen key lime pie from a box. I could barely swallow each bite. Oh well, I WISH it had been one of Kat's, which I am sure are heavenly from the looks of those in the picture.

This great board to let the word out on and lots of years of experience in the pie business. I first started here in 1991 at Patrones in Grayton where I shared a florist shop with BJ Totten. Sold whole pies, picnic backets full of great lunches, and slices of pie. It was so much fun....I miss Patrones My best customer was.....Oli, who got the Fresh Strawberry Pie every time!

A special thanks to Gwynn Baker who is the best baker in Sowal!!!! And, thisnthat, pies put smiles on faces that can't compare to anything else. And that's why I LOVE to bake them!!!

My my my key lime pie.....a song by Kenney Chesney......I love Key Lime pie....I had some at Red Bar in May and it was so YUM! And the slice was huge...it was amazing....I couldn't finish it and my husband doesn't like Key lime pie....I think it is because he is from Michigan
