When television was all black & white & it came on about 7 am and went off at mid-night.

These western series taught us young buckaroos right from wrong and how to treat a lady. That why when us old men real see a lady we always want to show her our "6 Shooter".

Roy Rogers---late 1951. Hopalong Cassidy -- September ‘52. The Lone Ranger -Sept. ‘49 - Gene Autry- July ‘50.

Swamp Fox - it was on PBS.

Same historical character that Mel Gibson played in the Patriot, but the G rated non-angst version! :D

LVT, DD - y'all need to find those pics. I have never heard of that shindig.

Yarmap - in my town, it went off after the 11:00PM news with an American flag planted firmly on the screen and the National Anthem sung. On the weekends, it went off later. ;-)

Shindig was somewhat like American Bandstand but it came on in the evenings. It simply had cool bands playing. I swear to gosh the Beatles played on Shindig once. Another afternoon show was "Where the Action Is" with "Paul Revere and the Raiders". Man, we sure were cool cats in those days...

Miss Critter: Amazing, amazing, amazing...and to think, I can remember one TV show from 1964, and I can't even remember where I put my car keys last night.
