Gaetz is one of those politicians, much like AOC, MTG, Warren, Omar, Boebert, etc, where you really have to marvel at the sad fact that this person, unqualified in every degree, reflects a choice by the people they represent. You can get pissed about Trump or Biden, but at the highest level, with two choices, what are your options? But at the lower levels, where there should be no shortage of alternatives, these sort of candidates are inexcusable. It’s truly baffling and a sad state of the affairs of American politics.

Luckily there's a primary opponent for Gaetz. This will be an expensive house race.

As a non native to NWFL, I really don’t know what to make of the Panhandle political scene. It’s so perplexing, especially since it’s such a Republican heavy region. All the infighting. Mexico Beach government is a shitshow with the recalls and meeting chaos. PCB elects Sheldon who’s got conflicts of interest up the you know what. Guys running concerts at public parks FFS. Walton has the same sort of shady characters, lawsuits relating to misconduct, and constant infighting. Meanwhile everyone hates St Joe who is run by locals, donates more money to schools, law enforcement, public safety, and quality of life related events; and really when you look at the map, is the only reason your “development problem”, isn’t 100x worse. It’s so strange.

May I introduce you to Okaloosa County? Where two sheriffs back, the sheriff went to prison. Where a recent TDC Director helped himself to a nice home in Kelly Plantation and a $750,000 yacht before offing himself when the law was closing in.

Creepy Guy reminds me of George Santos, but with less credibility. I’ve heard that Dan Curry is the best candidate, by far, running to date, and that Quinn Robertson, county administrator, was abruptly fired because he was investigating some serious irregularities pertaining to the finances of that golf course. Creepy Guy may not be related to George Santos. They might be lovers.

Dan Curry? Seriously? D***head Dan as he is widely known among the citizens in Freeport? "Public Request" Dan?
Actually it would be refreshing to watch him find out he can't do all that he thinks he will be able to do.
