You should check rankings of the high school. South Walton High not very good. Even teachers we know who work in the district find ways not to send their kids there. I even know one who moved to Freeport to avoid South Walton. Elementary through middle school are OK though.

Then again, I don't know where you are moving from. We moved here from a place with schools that were nationally recognized as exceptional.

That's the way I understand it. But transportation becomes your issue.

School choice is allowed in every county of Florida. However, you do have to provide your own transportation in this county.
