I used to get the same thing- which is why I finally quit smoking cigarettes in April. Should never have started...
How much do the shots cost? That's really my main concern considering I haven't had health insurance in years... Luckily- I will when I move down to Florida! I wonder if those are included? How often do you have to get them?
I'm sure they're expensive without insurance.
With insurance, I have to pay the deductible, a co-pay for office visits every 4 months or so, and about $3.75 per shot. When you start them, you have to get a shot about twice a week, which is aggravating schedule-wise. (You have to sit at the office for 30 minutes afterward, in case of a reaction.) After a month or so, you go to once a week for a few months. Then once every two weeks, then three weeks, and so on. For them to really help long-term, they recommend doing this for 3-5 years.
That sounds like a lot, but it helps me so much that I don't mind it. It's like anything else you do on a regular basis--haircuts, manicures, whatever--you just have to fit it in.
