Thanks to Fired Up at Seaside. I just had the most relaxing two hours I've had in a long time being creative at their shop. My SoWal ornament will be ready for pickup tomorrow. They were most helpful and I enjoyed talking with a couple from Pensacola working on some really cool pieces. I'm inspired next year to plan ahead and perhaps work on some other gifts. It was nice focusing exclusively on my special SoWal buddy for just a while. Giving is better than receiving. Although, I do love, love, love (plagarized from DD on another thread) the ornament I got last year.

I have been unpacking ornaments tonight getting ready to decorate the BA tree. I have found several hand made ornaments from SoWal friends. They are each very special and beautiful.

My very first one was from Beachmom - a beautiful handpainted ball ornament. I must find it and show it off again... as well as others.. they can be my xmas tars...

edit.. there ya go - my beautiful painted ornament by Beachmom. she is an artist. some of us however, have attempted handpainted and/or fired up ceramic ornaments and they end up being very interesting in a child like way. those are just as special... aren't they???? if not, then I apologize in advance to former recipients.

Hey Toot Toot Tootsie!!! Loved your FB pics ;-) I would post one of Mr. BC and me we took the other day but I am so incredibly fat I will probably send it to cyberspace

Love to all

BC:love:

:wave:hey BC! where ya been? are you the one I tried painting a ceramic ball ornament of a beach scene? ha ha ha. I spent literally about 2 days on it - at Fired Up - with lots of technical assistance/guidance. and it looks like I took 10 minutes! well, at least it was time taken for me (and you) and I literally forgot about the stresses of xmas during those few days.

I'm trying to remember all the ornament folks I've sent ornys to, and also the ones who sent to me. but I think I may be getting confused with Valentine's Day.

We finished decorating the tree tonight. Well, destinscuba decorated, I supervised and pulled ornaments out. Found the ornament from the first exchange I participated in and it's still intact.

The one I got from organicmama last year is perched in the tree in a secure place (it weighs about 2 pounds) and the bells continue ringing after it stops moving and sounds like a ticking sound.
