Well, having 3 boys I've had my experience with an ortho -- The worst was when we were in Snowshoe and my son fractured his wrist. There is only 1 ortho for MILES and MILES. His office was in a little TRAILER 
at the bottom of the mountain. After about 6 hours of waiting 
they put him in a removable cast until we could get home and see a """REAL""" doc!! Anyway, we use Dr. Bruce at Chatta Bone & Joint on Gunbarrel. He is terrific - especially with kids.
I actually had to pay him a little visit myself a few weeks ago. Seems I was bebopping down the street on my cute little heels and FELL OFF MY SHOE!!!!
Dr. Bruce was kind enough to call it a "ballerina fracture", but he and I both know it was a KLUTZ fracture!!

Doc Bruce, too. He is friends with our former neighbor who is an orthpedist in Asheville now. And yes I called Asheville at 11:00 last night when they were talking surgery, and he said FIND DR. BRUCE !
