I was going to make a boat. A wooden raft or something. I was going to nail a couple of plastic chairs to it. And maybe put a beach umbrella on it. And an outboard motor. :D

RO and GB, great pictures! Although I did notice that someone snuck more of the BOAT in there than the lake itself. *snicker*

Sorry to hear about the little otter. Falling off the couch, eh? So much for macho accidents! My husband had to see the doc after having a trampoline accident. Was showing off, and hurt himself doing flips. We grin whenever we think about what must have been going through that doctor's mind.

Sorry to hear about the wounded otter. I read that thread right before my husband and I were to let my son babysit his sister for the first time. Luckly, the little one got a fever so we stayed home (I didn't have to get any more grey hair worry all night about them being home alone, of course the husband said I was being a big baby!) Anyway, hope little otter is feel better soon.

Yes, we are sorry about young otter too- and sorry for the parents! Y'all sound like you were amazingly calm and cool throughout!

And ktschris- sounds like we are in the same boat. We have a 12 (almost 13) yr. old son who is quite responsible, and a 3 (4 in Oct.) daughter who can be a handful. We haven't taken the big step of letting him solo sit yet- I can't decide whether SHE is old enough to make it work. What are your kids ages?

He's fine thanks. Don't let that stop you from going out... it won't stop us. They are boys and these things happen.

My son is 11 1/2 and my daughter is 5. Sometimes I think she is more mature than he is. But she can be a handfull. My son is begging me to let him babysit, but I think that's because he figures he'll make millions in babysitting money. I haven't broken it to him yet, if he does get paid, it won't be that much!
