I was not sure where to put this so Kurt please move it if it is in the wrong forum.
This is a link to a PCB website that shows what someones plan for the future of PCB is......

It sorta looks like someone is planning to transform PCB into another Ft. Lauderdale or South Florida IMO. The last time we were in SoWal we drove down to the Walmart in West PCB and they have a long way to go. They are working on it though with the pier park area and some other shopping areas. The transformation will take some time but if you look at some other city transformations like Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Baltimore along their "river walks" those areas went thru amazing positive changes. I know these are not beach areas but they were improved tremendously. If they do it right and for the long term, PCB or at least the westend could be nice(r). No disrespect but it did/does need a major facelift etc. You have to give them credit for trying because it only had one way to go IMO.

It's the city of Panama City Beach's view of what they want their hometown to look like in years to come. How it usually works is that a city sets boundaries for community redevelopment area (CRA)- an area that's considered to be 'blighted' right now, and in need of revitalization. The CRA designation lets a certain amount of property taxes be designated for improving the CRA area.

Yes I agree Wetwilly MAJOR transformation but if they can do it then it will be nice.... I have seen towns completely reinvent themselves, curious to see if PCB will follow through....

I see it happening. We won't recognize it in 10 years and by that time the airport will be complete, theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, casinos - It will be the center of the American Riviera. St. Joe will play a huge role with thousands of acres to develop there.

Sounds like Orlando...only with seawalls (which they'll need in 10 yrs time).
