We use paper. paper towels, (sometimes) paper plates, paper napkins, toilet paper. paper, paper, paper. i want to completely stop using it. have you ever gone from using paper to not using paper?

i know, boring thread but i'm just interested in how many people use paper.

We've gone paperless with our bank too and in some other areas but not totally.

I'[m trying to get my work to go paperless and they always think it's a great idea. They start out emailing me things, i put them in my electronic files, etc, but by the end of the week, they've laid paper in my in-box on my desk when they could have very easily emailed me. :bang:

I just want the damn phonebooks and yellow pages to go away--what a freakin waste of trees--esp in this age of the iphone and google.

I could almost do without a printer. To me it's just a costly unreliable contraption taking up space. I've had ink cartridges go bad before I've even had a chance to use them. Almost everything I need to see I can read on screen.

I am rather fond of TP, but you can greatly reduce the amount of paper towels you use w/ cloth towels.

I try to go paperless except for my bank statements - but those attempts seem SO futile when all the phone books, junk mail, and unsolicited catalogues keep arriving.

think i'm gonna have to stick with the TP. someone suggested i could use magnolia leaves. don't think that will work bc i don't have a magnolia tree. i'm just going to try to use more cloth, and be more aware of our paper consumption. i didn't realize how dependant we are on paper, until recently. not anymore, i'm nippin' it in the bud.

now, i just gotta find some more cute cloth napkins.

I'm not sure how one is supposed to use paperless toilet paper.

Just got me thinking -- since hemp is about 100 times more productive than trees for paper production, seems the green thing to do would be to stop using trees to make paper, and go to hemp production. However, the gov't is made up of politicians who cannot see the forest from all of the damn lobbyists blocking the view with dollar bills.

No paper plates anymore in my house, but can't get away from the paper towels yet!

You can go paperless with TP, just remember not to shake left hands.

We used to go through paper towels like water. Bought some kitchen towels and now we might go through a roll of paper towels in a year.
