Me thinks this was a complete and utter waste of time. Jim Morrison didn't give a sh!t then, and my guess is he wouldn't now either.

I'm sure he is at peace now.

Its about time! Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with Jimmy but rather Mr Christs attempt in looking hip after a major defeat. Charlie has certainly lost his way thats for sure. Morrison could give a rip. Rock on Jimmy!

Incoming known fraud Jim Scott?

His wife was interviewed on CNN. She said he'd take the pardon and rip it to shreds because he thought he did nothing wrong due to artistic freedom and because there are no photos of him exposing himself.

I think I am quoting correctly.

"I just don't think there is sufficient evidence in the file or on the record, no photos or video that would indicate that the alleged act occurred," Crist said. "My heart bleeds for (Morrison) and his family."
But Patricia Morrison, author of the book "Strange Days: My Life With and Without Jim Morrison," said he would reject such a pardon.
"I think he would reject this completely out of hand," she told CNN. "He would just say, 'You know, no thanks. I can't be bothered.'"

Really Charlie? Your heart bleeds? Really?

Oh, her. Well, she claimed to have married him in some sort of celtic ceremony. He never really thought of her as his wife, and the episode probably occured in a drunken haze. Morrison actually declared himself married to Pam Courson. Morrison had a will and left his estate to Courson. Interestingly, Morrison and Courson's marriage (and thus allocation of his estate) was disputed by the Morrison family after his death because it was 'common law'. I think the deal was that California does not recognize common law marriage (the basis of the Morrison's legal challenge) within the state but will recognize them from states that do allow such unions. I can't remember where Jim and Pam declared themselves to be married via common law, but California ultimately recognized it and the Coursons prevailed. I don't think Pam ever enjoyed the fruits of that judgment as she died just a few years after Jim from heroin overdose.

Shame on CNN for getting a soundbite from that groupie!
