My friend (Michael) and his wife own the Bare Hands Gallery downtown, and he and another friend of mine are playing there on September 14th with a band called Mingusphere. Michael said that the hotels downtown are expensive-Historic or meth-lab-dangerous, so I got crazy and booked a room at the Historic Redmont Hotel, where Hank Williams stayed just before he died.
Whew. I can't believe I packed that much stuff into two sentences.
