No, Jerk Dawg is just a douchebag.

People holding signs for "going out of business" is something I've seen for years in many locations - and compared to some of the things I've seen over the years, a person holding a sign is a minor issue - not quite the NIMBY 911 he thinks it is.

.

I've worked with the mentally challenged. Let me see if I can decode that for you.

I believe the F is for Ft. or Fort and the crudely spelled "dub" is short hand scrawl for the letter "W" for Walton. Sort of a frat boy's version of Fort Walton.

oh now i see what i am dealing with here.
Sowalgayboi- the name says it all. My degree'(s) are in business and finance smart ass not in typing correctly in a forum. How about you quit monitoring my spelling "monitor" and start reading the forum for what it is. Carefull with the frat boy phrase i am one of those also, something you wouldn't understand because they don't accept your type.
Scooterbug- nice re-spelling of the word douchebag something i am sure you are very familar with. And what the hell are you talking about? You have seen "People holding signs for "going out of business" is something I've seen for years in many locations" I am not asking, 'have any of you seen people holding up signs anywhere else in the world advertising going out of business sales." I am simply trying to ask why these people aren't doing what it is they are supposed to be doing, they are just sitting on the grass in a circle and the signs ar being propped up and tied to poles.
Anybody else?

Ok, I just read all of this and I don't quite get why you "people" all have your panties in a wad. I opened this forum because I too have wondered the same thing about the sign holders outside the outlet mall. I'm all for someone making a buck, especially in these hard times, but I'm willing to bet that there are people out there that are willing to actually work for that buck. The people outside the outlet mall don't hold the signs. They sit around in the grass, smoke cigarettes, whatever. I have seen the kids that listen to music and bee-bop back and forth while HOLDING the sign they were employed to hold. They are entertaining and much more attractive than vagabonds I see loitering outside the outlet mall.

Yes, vagabonds. That's what they look like. There IS a sign ordinance and that is why people need to be hired to hold signs. Otherwise, the company doing the advertising would just stick signs in the grass for free - but that's not allowed. My problem though, is with the company that isn't making sure the people they hired are doing their job and the officials that are supposed to uphold this ordinance. They need to be doing their job as well as the "sign holders". (I put it in quotes because technically, that's what they are called but that's not really what they are as they are not holding any signs)

Lay off Jerkdawg though. He may have a jerky way of making his point but it was a good point nonetheless. And to all of you who said things like "live in Houston" or "it's worse in other places" or whatever you said, I DON'T LIVE THERE FOR A REASON.

I'm not usually one to pick on people for typos because I'm not a terribly careful typist myself. But if you're actually a fart boy, then I don't think many folks here would feel a lack if you didn't grace them with your presence.

As for frat boys and being gay, one of my old swim team friends was a Sigma Chi. He's now self-identifying as queer and making rent for his San Francisco pottery studio by making and selling artistic ceramic versions of any number of adult male novelty implements.

The "fart boy" mistake was ironically poetic

Our two bigots would probably have pizza delivered to them if the sign holders were skinheads or wearing white sheets.
