I definitely agree that people advertising their business should not post signs illegally. It would make me not want to do business with the company because I want the companies I deal with to be very trustworthy and legal in every way. Subtly letting people know a useful business is starting is a good idea even on this message board; overdoing it or posting signs illegally is not (and can turn away from the business).
Or, they could get legally have a sign posted directly on Hwy 98 by volunteering to clean litter from a section of our Scenic Corridor on a regular basis. Currently, we have no volunteers to claim a section of the hwy. I think they give out sections of one mile and in return they erect a sign with your name on it. The down side might be that people might decide to throw out a lot of dog pooh in the section of the hwy with the Pet Pooh Removal sign to see if you would clean it up.
