My dad, Brooklyn born and bred, still refers to money as shekels, the same way everyone else in the country says "bucks." It's just a NY slang thing. ;-)

Oh I have one...Funngus saw my Amex bill and just called to get the number so he could pay it off.

And then he said how much funn he had visiting, then got choked up and teary-eyed and told me his favorite part was getting to see me and Phead together. Since we NEVER see each other.
