I just got back from WC and the beaches were eroded pretty substantially. How is it the beaches look so good in front of the crab trap?

I don't know but last fall after Ivan the beach in Seagrove across from my condo was not at its best & this one still looked beautiful. Maybe because it's a public access??

I saw a photo of the building after Hurricane Dennis & it didn't look good. Also didn't see James Lee Park listed on the list of open beach accesses.

If James Lee Park is the park east and adjacent to the Crab Trap, it is open and can be seen in the photo. (I was standing on the boardwalk.)

Just upload a photo of the cake pan, and then, yes, you can click to enlarge if the original file was large enough. :rotfl:

Now don't poop on this thread. :nono1::D

It seems to me that after every storm since Opal, the beaches in Destin have always looked better than ours in SoWal. I use the beach behind The Back Porch (and June's Dune's...so sad it's gone) as an example. The sand there seemed whiter and more abundant....the old feet squeaking in the sand trick!

Thanks! I thought it looked open from your photo but questioned because the beach looked empty. That is my "back up" beach in the event that the beach in front of our condo rental is not up to par.
